Justin Prueitt's family line runs high to athletes. His grandfather was a wrestler at Fresno State in California and Justin's father played football for the Bulldogs. But Justin Prueitt isn't the first in his family at this college; his grandmother is a Cal grad.

Justin Prueitt was born on October 3, 1987 and grew up in Clovis, California. He graduated from Buchanan High School after being considered one of the top 100 players in the state and a top 100 offensive-line prospect in the U.S. He was also a shot-putter and discuss thrower in high school.

Justin Prueitt is still waiting to be tapped by the Cal Bears. After redshirting in 2006, he saw no playing time in 2007, and limited time in 2008. With his slightly bigger size, though, Prueitt could be ready to finally make an appearance of substance in 2009.
